As we approach the solemn and significant period of Ashura, we would like to inform you of the office closure in observance of this important time. Urban City Lahore will be closed on the 16th and 17th of July 2024 to honor the public Ashura holidays. Normal office operations will resume on the 19th of July 2024.
Understanding Ashura
Ashura is a significant day in the Islamic calendar, observed on the 10th of Muharram. It commemorates the martyrdom of Imam Hussain ibn Ali, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad, at the Battle of Karbala. This day holds deep religious and cultural significance, particularly for the Shia Muslim community, and is marked by mourning, prayer, and reflection. Religious processions will be held in all main parts of the city including the housing societies like Urban City Lahore, Central Park Lahore, New Metro City Lahore, Kingdom Valley Lahore, Dream Gardens, Al Hafeez Garden Lahore, Iqbal Garden, Park Avenue Lahore, Green Palms Lahore & New Lahore City.
